HIE. So for the past month or so I’ve been working on a new art project called Blimp. It’s a collection of small drawings I've done that will be released in a zine-like format. Two volumes of the zine will be released and hopefully available by the end of June. I would really love to bring it to the 2009 Portland Zine Symposium, that would be awesome. This has been a really exciting project to work on and I’m stoked to see where it goes from here. I’ve always wanted to do something like this but never really had the chance. Living in such a positive atmosphere has been amazing and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds. -Pelly

i'm stoked for the emerald city comicon. darth maul is going to be there! that guy has helped me out through so many hard times. theres no way i could have got that monopoly on coruscant, or landed on free parking multiple times if it wasnt for mr. maul. we are evil.

so, Holy Mountain is the place to be tonight (new years eve). the party theme is 2012. if you live in the seattle area you should come.. but it's not like the place isnt going to be packed anyway. oh and dont forget to dress for the new age!

lately ive been trying to collect as much artwork as possible for my place. the goal is to cover every inch of naked wall space. if you'd possibly like to contribute, i'd be more than happy to display your work. i really need some sort of old school overhead projector, so that way i can do some large scale paintings in my living room/kitchen. i might just have to buy one online, but i cant help but think that someone near by owns one.

its been a great year for me. a lot has changed in my life for the better. this new year is a complete fresh start. new city, new job, new friends, new life. i'm completely content with where i'm at, and it can only get better. cheers to 2009 and all it has to offer!

what ive been up to

i'll start with the cabin adventure. flew into lax on a friday night, arrived roughly at 10pm. the flight ruled because it was virginamerican.. and your basically treated like royalty. doesn’t make too much sense though because round trips are extremely cheap on virgin. those planes are like stretched out night clubs, which is pretty damn epic in my opinion. anyway so.. kellie, anny, alex and alyssa were already at the terminal, packed and ready for the trip. i didnt even have a second to breath before we were already halfway to santa cruz. for some reason, that drive was endless compared to the previous trips and i have no clue why. we pulled into a safeway at 4am... packed two carts with gibberish foods... then back on the road. granny anny was behind the wheel, no wonder it was taking so long. we finally got to the cabin at like 6am. don’t ask why, but upon arrival we decided to pull an all-nighter. we were drinking jameson at like 6:30 in the morning... stupid idea.

i cant remember what time we all recovered from our drunk comas, but i do remember waking up to the smell of eggs and toast. walked into the living space and loan behold, a game of kings cup was about to go down. beers everywhere, shot glasses and bottles of gibberish hard alcohol scattered all throughout the room... perfect. no clue what time it was. everyone kept shouting "pelly time! pelly time!"... which is code for me to pour out multiple shots of after shock. theres a video of that somewhere -- actually theres videos of pretty much everything. next day was our annual "stolen steak bbq feast"... traditional stolen rib eye steak from the market, fucking delicious. also went on the traditional cabin hike, where kellie got attacked by a razor sharp bush. had some hearts to hearts at the top of the hill then headed back to the cabin.

heres where things start getting a little blurry... me busting out my heavy duty sharpie and tagging 2012 on everyones back and then krytonian versions on everyones chest. absolute chaos broke out after watching all the joker scenes from dark knight. at one point i picked up kellie and chucked her across the living room. we got pretty out of control but it was all good clean fun. the drive back to LA took ages, but at least we stopped for in&out and i was able to dominate an epic grilled cheese. miss that place. i flew back to seattle that following tuesday, once again flew virgin and got wasted on the plane. played doom the whole flight... rad.

last monday was video nasties in 3D. i have to post about this because it was so much fun. showed up a bit early to construct my brainiac 3D glasses. derek's lionel luthor glasses won any contest in my opinion. we watched a downloaded version of friday the 13th part 3. it had some pretty good three dimensional scenes. too bad the black punk in the movie didnt have a purple mohawk, that shit would be TIGHT in 3D. ok i'm going back to work now...

the cabin trip...2008

i couldn't be more stoked on going back. so far, there's been three amazing trips to this place and every time it's been incredible. i'll be flying into LAX on the 5th and we're taking off the second i arrive. heres some things i had to say about the cabin trips in my previous blog. starting in 05...

so for the past two months ive been working on a VLP project for the moonlit behavior ep. so far so good, just taking a lot longer than expected. i wish it didn’t cost so much money to get a patent, or a copyright for that matter.

mp productions is coming along slowly but surely. if you haven’t seen the latest visual single i made, just click the picture to the right. the "dolphins" video is still not completed because it's really important i finish the skyscraper vlp. it's gonna be my money maker!

ive been helping out michael with his antcartic records website. it's coming along nicely, just a few more kinks to work out then it will be online. building websites again has been quite a trip and it's all coming back to me so quickly. maybe i'll pick up fruitbooting again, i'm sure that will come back to me haha.

my days have been pretty spontaneous lately. i didn't plan on hitting up the holy mountain last night, but when i found out past lives was playing... i got WAY pumped. what really took me back was seeing mark, morgan, and jordan still playing music together. they were the best members of blood brothers and i couldn't be more stoked on seeing them continue to slay it (thats me in the picture with the green rondo shirt). talbot tagora also did an amazing job. also, my new name is professor gorilla.
